Cody Sturgess is a CCI**** Event rider and an Equine Canada Certified competition coach

based out of his farm, Sunnyvale Farm, in Whitby, ON.

In 2015, Cody and his Thoroughbred Mare, Imperial Melody who he purchased off the track as a two-year-old, completed the prestigious Rolex Kentucky CCI**** Three-Day Event held in Lexington, Kentucky where he finished 34th overall and was the highest placed Canadian Rider.

During his career, Cody has trained with the best in the world including Dressage Judges Jo Young and Lesley Beckett, Canadian Dressage member Andrea Breese, Canadian Show Jumper Beth Underhill, and Olympic Eventers, Bruce Davidson, Ian Roberts, Jessica Phoenix, Clayton Fredericks.

A talented rider, Cody’s competitive spirit is contagious. As a coach, he brings a wealth of expertise and inspiration to his students, encouraging them to improve, instilling a strong work ethic, and empowering them to succeed. He is a positive mentor and role model for other up-and-coming riders and believes in correct basics and being fair with your horse.
