CODY STURGESS

Cody Sturgess is an established Three-Day Event Rider that is currently on the National Team List for Canada, as well as a Certified Competition Coach.


In 2015, Cody and his Mare Imperial Melody, Completed the Prestigious Rolex Kentucky CCI**** Three-Day Event held in Lexington, Kentucky where the pair finished 34th overall.

In 2011, Cody received Quest for Gold government funding for Three-Day Eventing for his demonstrated commitment to high performance in the sport. Awards are granted based strictly on the top five competition results from the previous year.


During his career, Cody has trained with the best in the world including Dressage Judge Lesley Beckett, Show Jumper Beth Underhill, and Olympic Eventers, Bruce Davidson, Ian Roberts and currently Jessica Phoenix, Clayton Fredericks, Jo Young and Andrea Breese.

In 2009, Cody was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. Although this diagnosis has changed his life, it certainly hasn’t slowed his pace or drive towards his Olympic dream.

A talented rider, Cody’s competitive spirit is contagious. As a coach, he brings a wealth of expertise and inspiration to his students, encouraging them to improve, instilling a strong work ethic, and empowering them to succeed. He is a positive mentor and role model for other up-and-coming riders.
